About Bramwell Views
Bramwell Views — London, United Kingdom
We sell one thing: binoculars sharp enough to identify what you are looking at, and sealed well enough to keep working in British weather.
Bramwell Views is the trading name of AKYT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. We ship to UK addresses only, we deal with consumers only, and every instrument we list is IP65 rated against driving rain and dust.
Buying binoculars in Britain is harder than it should be. At one end of the market there are anonymous marketplace listings with invented magnification figures, no exit pupil, no eye relief, no field of view, and nobody to call when the focus wheel seizes in month seven. At the other end, heritage optics brands charge heritage prices for glass that comes off the same production lines.
We built Bramwell Views to sit in the gap: published optical specifications, a named company with a registered address, a real warranty, and an email that gets answered.
Roof prism 10x42 with a built-in laser rangefinder and BAK4 roof prisms, in three colourways: black, green and sand.
Ten times magnification with a 42 mm objective is the configuration that works from dawn hide to open hillside, bright enough at dusk to still be useful.
Harnesses, straps, cases, objective covers and cleaning cloths. The parts that get lost, worn out or left in a hedge.
Chosen to fit the instruments we sell, so nothing arrives needing an adapter.
Every instrument has a magnesium alloy body, is IP65 rated against driving rain and dust, and is specified to work between minus 20 and 60 degrees C.
Specifications published, not implied. Magnification, objective diameter, field of view at 1000 m, exit pupil, eye relief, close focus and weight. If a supplier will not give us the numbers, we do not list the instrument.
A published sealing rating, not a vague promise. IP65 means dust tight and protected against water jets from any direction, which covers driving rain and spray on the hill. We publish the rating rather than writing "weatherproof" and leaving you to guess what it covers.
Serviceable parts. Eyecups, covers, straps and focus assemblies a supplier will still stock in two years, rather than sealed disposable bodies.
A narrow range, deliberately. One instrument, three colourways, and the accessories that fit it. We would rather know each product properly than carry a hundred we cannot answer questions about.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 sit on top of all of this and nothing here replaces them. The detail is in our Refund Policy and Terms of Sale.
Bramwell Views is a new company. We are not going to invent a heritage, a workshop in the Lake District or twenty years of trading we have not done. What we can tell you is who we are, where we are registered, what the instruments are specified to, and what happens if something goes wrong, which is more than most of the listings you will have already scrolled past.
