What the magnification actually gives you

On an 80 mm objective the useful working range is 25x to about 60x. Push past that and the exit pupil drops below 1.3 mm: the image darkens and heat shimmer takes over. The 75x setting is there for still air and short looks, not for a morning of glassing. We would rather tell you that than sell you a number.
